Loyola Mandir, Bangalore: The renovated provincial’s office and board room were inaugurated and blessed here on February 14. While Frs Joseph D’Mello, Socius, and Jaison Furtado, Treasurer, inaugurated the new facilities, Provincial, Fr Dionysius Vaz performed the blessing.

The renovated new facilities include a well decked provincial’s office and an adjacent board room with facilities for digital display and video conferencing for consult and such other meetings with the provincial.

In his vote of thanks, Socius, Fr D’Mello referred to Mr KJ Alphonse of Delhi and Mr Sreedharan, the Metro man. “Mr Alphonse was known as a demolition man, while Mr Sridharan built metros. Fr Provincial had a choice to demolish the present Loyola Mandir and rebuild it. However, he took a more reasonable decision to only renovate the structure,” he said.

Fr Provincial thanked both Frs D’Mello and Furtado for overseeing the renovation work. “Sometimes we have had workers till late night. But it is their dedicated work and the meticulous supervision of our fathers that made this façade possible,” he said.

The renovated work has been carried out by Mr James William of William Production House. Apart from the community members, the consultors and Fr Philip Abraham from Kohima region were present.
