Two Jesuits Ordained as Priests in a Sacred Ceremony at St. Joseph’s, Bangalore

Deacons Paul Anand Prasad SJ and Joseph Jerald SJ were ordained priests by Most Rev. Peter Machado, Archbishop of Bangalore on 28 September at St Joseph's Boys' Highschool Chapel. The theme of the ordination was "His Work, My Hands." Rev. Arokiaraj Satis Kumar, Auxiliary Bishop of Bangalore, delivered the homily, highlighting the profound significance of the priesthood, especially concerning the Eucharist, prayer, and service. Auxiliary Bishop Joseph Susainathan of Bangalore also concelebrated the Mass.

Following the ceremony, the newly ordained priests and their families were honored. Fr. Dionysius Vaz SJ, Provincial of the Karnataka Jesuit Province, expressed deep gratitude to the families for offering their sons generously to God's service and the Society of Jesus. The liturgy was meticulously organized by Fr. Pradeep SJ and Ashwin Cordeiro SJ, with significant contributions from the Jesuit Nivas community under the leadership of the Rector, ensuring the event's success.
