'Tea with Jesuits' held in Bangalore

Youth ministry of Karnataka province held a unique programme caleed ‘Tea with Jesuits’ on September 23 at St Joseph's PU College campus, Museum Road, Bangalore. The aim of this programme was for Jesuits to have a personal interaction with the young - to know the youth and the challenges they face.
Twenty-three youth from the different Jesuit colleges attended the programme. There were 23 Jesuits from Bangalore region who spent time with these young people interacting and sharing their thoughts about the mission and works of Jesuits.
Fr Brian Pereira SJ, Rector of BJES was the chief guest. In his address, Fr Pereira said that it was a great joy to see the young and the Jesuits coming together to share experiences. "Youth must make a difference in society thorugh their interaction, activities and above all spending time with the needy," he added.
Fr Joel Fernandes SJ, province youth coordinator, explained the dynamics of the programme.
