Jesuits Gather for RRSJSA Process at Mount St Joseph
Bengaluru, February 12, 2025 – The RRSJSA actual process was held at Mount St Joseph from February 7 to 9, 2025, bringing together 55 participants in a spirit of companionship for reflection and introspection. The event provided a meaningful platform for Jesuits to engage deeply with their mission and community.
The dynamic framework introduced by Fr Brian Pereira offered clear guidance, allowing participants to immerse themselves in the experience.
A Journey of Reflection and Discernment
The gathering commenced with a focus on preparing participants to embrace the right disposition for the process. Jesuits reflected with gratitude on the ways God has been at work in the Karnataka Jesuit Province, recognizing the grace that has shaped their mission. An in-depth evaluation of the province’s internal and external contexts provided valuable insights, helping to discern the way forward with greater clarity.
On the second day, participants were deeply moved by a visit to the cemetery, where they honored the invaluable contributions of Jesuits who have gone before them. This poignant moment served as an inspiration to carry forward the lessons learned from their predecessors. The day continued with a discussion on the Province’s roadmap for the next decade, focusing on aligning its mission more closely with God’s calling.
The final day encouraged reflections on God’s call at both the zonal and conference levels, emphasizing the interconnected and global nature of the Jesuits' mission.
Gratitude and Renewed Commitment
The three-day event was marked by devotion and enthusiasm, with participants expressing deep gratitude to the organizing team, including Fr Brian Pereira, Fr Rony Pais, Fr Shantharaj, Fr Sujay Daniel, and Fr Teyol, for their meticulous planning and execution. Special thanks were extended to Fr Arul Anthony for capturing the memories through photography.
Inspired by the spirit and legacy of their predecessors, the participants concluded the process with a renewed sense of purpose and commitment to building the Kingdom of God. The event reaffirmed their dedication to serving the mission with faith and conviction, setting a clear path for the future of the Karnataka Jesuit Province.
