Ignitors alumni and ex AICUF members meet at SJU

A gathering of Ignitors alumni and ex AICUFers was held at St Joseph’s University, Bangalore on February 25. Over 80 participants took part. The event was graced by the participation of visually challenged children from Jyoti Seva Blind School, who captivated everyone with their cultural performance.

During the event, the name ‘Saamipya’ was officially launched as the name the annual gathering of Ignitors alumni and ex AICUFers, symbolising the spirit of togetherness and camaraderie. 

Ranjith Joseph from Ignitors, Deekshith from AICUF, Prashanth Kumar, animator, and Fr Brian Pereira SJ shared their insights and experiences, enriching the gathering.

The special highlight of the event was the honouring of Fr Brian Pereira SJ for his role as the brainchild of KJES Youth Works and various other youth initiatives. The evening continued with informal conversations, laughter, and concluded with a supper, making it a memorable and enriching experience for all.

Fr Maxim Dias SJ facilitated the youth who had contributed a lot for the success of the programme. Fr Joel Fernandes SJ welcomed and thanked the group.
