Eight Novices Pronounce First Vows at Mount St. Joseph, Bengaluru

A significant milestone in the life of the Karnataka Jesuit Province was celebrated on 21 June 2026, as eight novices pronounced their First Vows at Mount St. Joseph, Bengaluru, formally entering the Society of Jesus.
The solemn Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Fr. Dionysius Vas, SJ, who received the vows of the novices on behalf of the Society of Jesus. Through the profession of the vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience, the newly professed Jesuits committed themselves to following Christ in the Ignatian way of life and mission.
The joyous occasion was attended by the families and friends of the vowents, Jesuits from across the Province, and members of the faithful who gathered to witness and celebrate this important step in their vocational journey. The celebration was marked by gratitude, prayer, and thanksgiving for God's call and the generous response of these young Jesuits.
The Karnataka Jesuit Province rejoices with the newly professed and their families, praying that they may continue to grow as faithful companions of Jesus, dedicated to the service of the Church and society for the greater glory of God. (Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam).
