Aicuf celebrates foundation and Constitution day

Representatives from various units of Karnataka AICUF gathered at St Joseph's University, Bengaluru, commemorating AICUF's foundation day and Indian Constitution Day on November 26. The event began with the students of St Joseph's College of Law presenting a street play on the reality of the Constitution today raising awareness about the significance and sanctity of the Indian Constitution. Shaik Salman, AICUF state full-timer, highlighted the importance of the day’s events.
The chief guest of the programme, Tara Krishnaswamy, an activist, highlighted the role of the Constitution in granting rights to all citizens and encouraged students to recite the preamble together. She shared her societal contributions and urged students to emulate constitutional values in their actions, emphasising the need for daily and conscious adherence to these values.
Fr Joel Fernandes SJ, director of KJES youth works, and Thomas Alexander, AICUF state animator, shared their insights on the Constitution's significance and the crucial role of AICUF in shaping the nation's future with the AICUFers.
The day concluded with an inter-unit sports event. Each unit also presented a thematic flash mob, engaging the crowd. Students of all units were encouraged to join in the ensuing three-day rally of the farmers and labourers in the city.
