The most potent means of liberating the human spirit and thereby the human society is education which is more than mere literacy imparting the knowledge to read and write. Rather, true education is the slow but sure unfolding of the human personality, unravelling the mystery of the human, unleashing the power of the spirit, untangling the chains of slavery; spreading the light of knowledge and wisdom; kindling the fire of love and service, inculcating ethical, moral, social and patriotic values; creating an insatiable thirst for exploration, innovation and invention; forming men and women of competence, conscience, compassion and commitment. All our works, in all fields of service, not exclusively in our educational institutions, have the aim of education as explained here as their main aim.
